
TAHIRA
A teaching artist, storyteller, musician and vocalist, TAHIRA performs original works, as well as works from the African and African American folklore tradition. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Temple University's School of Communication and Theatre. TAHIRA is a Delaware Division of the Arts Established Professional Fellow in Folk Art: Oral Literature. She had the prestigious honor of representing the National Association of Black Storytellers, Inc. at the international acclaimed festival, PANAFEST, in Ghana, West Africa., TAHIRA performed in four cities in Ghana and participated in a scholar panel discussing the legacy of African storytelling at the University of Ghana.
